Maintenance Manager

Our client, The Shaw Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Lanz, Nova Scotia. As one of Eastern Canada’s leading natural resource manufacturers and land developers The Shaw group employs approximately 500 people, producing nearly 1000 individual products.

Independently leading a team of approximately 15 trades people through day to day service, the Maintenance Manager will maintain a strong customer focus, whilst continually looking for improvement. You will design and maintain preventative maintenance programs including efficient reporting and tracking systems responding quickly to emergencies. Ensuring all safety equipment is in safe working order with current regulations, the Maintenance Manager is able to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues whilst promoting a safety conscious working environment.

As the ideal candidate you have strong computer skills with a background in hydraulics, electrical, electronics (PLC) mechanical, welding, machining, fabrication and carpentry, excelling in root cause analysis. You are self driven, collaborative and have both the management and interpersonal skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.  As the successful candidate you have five years of relevant experience and enjoy coaching others, taking pride in developing their skills and knowledge.
