As an Audit Senior, you will be a qualified (i.e. generally up to three years of post-qualification experience) Accountant/Auditor capable of examining the accounting records and practices of a business or other organization. The Audit Senior is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. In your role, you will be expected to work to tight budgets and your performance will be monitored against these budgets.
Audit Senior Functions Include:
You will be expected to plan, execute and finalize recurring external audit engagements, working directly with the client under a Manager. You will need to display rigorous project and financial management on all work, within budgets and reporting timetables.
Primarily, your work is aimed at providing an efficient and proactive service to your clients to ensure that their needs are fully met. As an Audit Senior, you will have day-to-day contact with all members of the Audit team. It is imperative that you are able to develop strong working relationships with the members of your team.
Audit Senior Academic Qualifications and Training:
You will have at least two years of experience in public practice auditing and will have qualified from one of the professional accounting bodies recognized as either a member or an associate by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
In your relevant practice experience, you will have ideally worked with a wide variety of audit clients from the planning stage through to completion. You will have gained experience in working in an environment where project and time management skills are required and you will ideally possess:
- knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles (US GAAP and/or IFRS)
- knowledge of generally-accepted auditing practices and principles
- knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
- knowledge and experience of related computer applications (Microsoft Office suite and Caseware)

- ability to work concurrently on multiple engagements
